Nov. 3rd, 2003 09:22 amJoe made it to Louisiana and home again safely, thank God! 34 hours of driving in about 41 hours of time. He was exhausted!
He was happy to come home to the smell of fresh baked apple pie though! We had a girl's baking afternoon. We picked 1/2 of a bushel of apples at an orchard in Wisconsin two weeks ago and yesterday got them out of the shed (they stayed cool there). Me, my sister-in-law, my mother-in-law and my daughter worked very well together. It was a very enjoyable afternoon.
All in all we baked 2 pies and froze 6 pies.
Joe rested for a little while then we ended the evening by watching the Packers beat the Vikings! Yay!!!
