Can it be?
Apr. 18th, 2006 09:52 amMy new motto...
I will not be freaked out by turning 40, as I can still do everything I could do in my 30's and even my 20's!
I don't know where the time went...and I can't believe I am really 40 now! Hopefully the next 10 years will be much slower!!!
I didn't bring the pictures with me today, but we celebrated my birthday first with a surprise party on Friday night...Joe did a great job and I had a blast! He kept it a surprise, although I suspected something was up.
Last night (my actual birthday) we went to dinner at Cheeseburgers in Paradise (Jimmy Buffets place) and had a lot of fun. Jen brought her friend Emma along and they got the "balloon man" to make a silly balloon hat that they made me wear all night long. Then they went up to the guy playing his guitar and had him sing Happy Birthday to me, very loudly....then our server brought cake with a candle and a swarm of servers singing their version of happy birthday. Very embarassing, but fun!
At any rate, I survived day one of being 40.
