Continually learning...

What I've learned after 21 years of marriage...
- Hubby says he will take his belongings to their rightful spot, but in reality, he will leave them just where he left them for me to pick up and put away.
- Hubby will begin and finish projects, but the clean up part gets missed somehow.
- Hubby doesn't understand that helping clean up from dinner isn't complete by just putting the dishes in the sink and pushing in the chairs.
- Hubby doesn't understand that separating clothes for the laundry based on item likeness isn't the way to go. It isn't pants with pants, shirts with shirts, etc. It is lights, colors, whites, etc.
- Hubby doesn't understand that removing the dust from the tv viewing area is more important than tweaking the stereo surround sound wires.
I got to thinking about this after I had handed him his shoes to put away and then found them in front of the pantry cabinet in the kitchen. ADD anyone??? :)

Date: 2009-01-25 12:04 am (UTC)We're coming up on ten years. One of the wonderful things which I read between your lines and which we've applied in our own marriage is that these frustrations just don't really matter all that much. :)
It's a wonderful conclusion, isn't it? :)
